About
jain24 is a directory of Jain places of worship around the world — currently 676 of them across 16 countries. It is free, carries no advertising, and exists only to be useful.
What counts as a place
Not only temples. Sthānakvāsī and Terāpanth communities do not worship images, and gather in sthānaks and upāshrays rather than derasars. A directory that listed only idol temples would quietly exclude two entire traditions, so this one covers derasars, sthānaks, upāshrays, tīrths and diaspora Jain centres alike.
On tradition
Where a place's tradition is recorded, it is shown. Where it isn't, it says so, rather than guessing. Getting someone's sampradāya wrong is worse than leaving it blank, and many diaspora centres are genuinely shared between traditions.
What's missing
Plenty. The data comes from open sources, which means coverage follows wherever volunteers have already mapped — dense across Gujarat, Rajasthan and Karnataka, thin nearly everywhere else. The diaspora is especially under-represented. That's the gap submissions are meant to close.
Deliberately not here
No opening times — they change constantly, and wrong times are worse than none. No reviews or ratings; this is a directory, not a review site. No accounts, no tracking, no ads.
Get in touch
For a specific place — a missing temple, a wrong address, the wrong tradition — the form is the fastest route, because it lands straight in the review queue with the record attached.
For anything else — feedback on the site, a correction the form doesn't fit, an offer of photographs, a community directory we should be drawing on, or if you run a temple and want its details updated — write to [email protected].
Corrections are genuinely welcome and there is no such thing as too small. A directory like this is only as good as the people willing to tell it when it's wrong.
